State Advocacy Day

Please join your colleagues to celebrate and grow the impact of our Y work on public policy in Michigan and beyond. A great day is planned packed with wonderful speakers and guests.  A detailed schedule for the day and an event fact sheet is available on the registration page. Venue: The Accident Fund Building, 200 N. Grand Ave Lansing MI 48933

Who should attend:  Y leadership, staff and volunteers,  anyone with a Y story to share and who would like to learn more about engaging stakeholders to advocate for the Y and the communities we serve.

Featured Guests: The public policy committee has created a robust agenda for you. Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, and Michigan Health & Wellness Director Dr. Alexis Travis will join Y-USA Chief Government Affairs Officer Neal Denton and your Michigan Advocacy team will share stories, strategies, and solutions.

Share your story: Please bring along materials you would like to share with your Y colleagues, our speakers, and your legislators.

Location: The Accident Fund at 200 N. Grand Blvd is a quick walk to the State Capitol and the downtown Lansing YMCA. Security is a priority for buildings near the Capitol, you will sign in and collect your nametag in the lobby and be escorted in groups to our 9th floor meeting space. 

Parking: Complimentary Parking is available at the Accident Fund, please carpool if possible.

Meals: A light breakfast, coffee and lunch is included in your registration fee.
